You know those times when you have an idea and then it turns out larger than you envision? Well, that is this project. It was intended to be a bookmark but kind of big for that so it could be used as an ornament or even a gift tag for a package. Use your imagination as the options are endless!

We pulled out the Cricut Maker and grabbed a piece of our beautiful Maple .025″ Thick Short Grain Wood Back Real Wood Paper. We needed the perfect SVG design and found this lovely Be Still and Know Free SVG at Hellosvg.com (Thank You!) and uploaded it to our Cricut Design space. For our wood cut out shape we simply used Design Space shapes. 1 circle and 1 rectangle copied & pasted 3 more times. Looked like this:

For us, it doesn’t matter which mat we use, we always use painters tape to tape down our Real Wood Paper sheets. We don’t want them to move. The wood is too beautiful to waste!
We used our Wood Back .025″ Thick sheet for this project but if you happen to come across this project and want to use a thinner sheet, below are the settings for our 2 other thicknesses.

We know y’all are pro’s cutting vinyl designs with your Cricut so we won’t be redundant with that. Once you have your vinyl cut out, stick to your Real Wood Paper just like you would any other surface, press and peel!
We looped ribbon through the rectangle cutouts. There are a variety of ways to do this and depends more on the purpose of your project as to which way to do this. If you have questions, let us know but we are confident you know you way around ribbon too!
